You can do one of the jobs available in game by clicking on the mobile phone and opening the ‘jobs’ app. All jobs contribute to your “total work xp”, meaning that your income gradually goes up in every job by levelling up, in case you ever want to switch careers!
You can also walk in to any job location and start a job.
Or, you can buy money directly from the store in-game, with Robux.
You can pay your bills by opening your phone, going to “My Plot” and clicking on “Pay Bills” once your bills arrive. If you want to pay your bills automatically, you can open the settings app on your phone in-game, and turn on “Automatically Pay Bills”.
Not paying bills results in your electricity being shut. This can be turned back on after paying your bills, getting a “Power Box” in build mode, and clicking “Turn On” on the box, outside of build mode.
There are four types of moods in the game:
Fun: Can be increased by turning on a TV and clicking “watch”, playing games on the computer, reading a book and other fun activities.
Energy: Just like real life, sleeping is the best way to get your energy levels up. Sitting and drinking coffee also helps!
Hunger: Cooking a good meal and eating it is the best way to raise the hunger stat. Quick meals also work if you’re in a hurry.
Hygiene: Taking a shower or a bath will increase your hygiene, but don’t forget to wash your hands and brush your teeth at the sink! If your hygiene stat drops too much, you’ll start seeing a yellow cloud around you. If you’re feeling fancy, the jacuzzi is the fastest way to increase your hygiene.
Alternatively, when your moods are low, you can also boost your mood for 25 Blockbux, by clicking on your moods on the bottom left of your screen and selecting “Boost Mood”.
You can join your friend from the Roblox homepage, by clicking on their profile and pressing “join” next to their name, once they are in game. If you want to invite your friend, you can do so by pressing the Roblox button on the top right of your screen and choosing “invite connections”.
Roblox users can turn of joins. That means that if your friend enables this, you won’t be able to join them unless they specifically invite you.
Progress is saved automatically, so you don’t need to worry about saving your game.

Blockbux, often called ‘Purple Money’, is a type of currency in Welcome to Bloxburg. It can be used to buy unique items, boost your mood and more!
Blockbux can be purchased through the in-game store, or received as a reward when doing certain events, daily rewards, …
Can be purchased with Robux on the game's store page, as well as in-game.
Transform Plus: Allows you to transform certain objects such as basic shapes and structurals.
Marvelous Mood: Keeps your moods up for longer by increasing positive and decreasing negative mood statuses. Adds the option to disable certain mood effects such as the green cloud when your hygiene is low.
Large Plot: Increases your plot size from a 30x30 to a 50x50 grid.
Premium: Gives certain benefits such as double daily rewards, halved bills, a premium trophy, a special nametag and the ability to choose where you spawn your plot.
Excellent Employee: Increases your income from working.
Advanced Placing: Allows you to place objects closer to each other and use the resize tool and other advanced build mode features.
Multiple Floors: Allows you to build up to 5 floors.
Basements: Allows you to build basements.
You can either click on the friends avatar, use a cash register on their plot, or create a gift card using the wrapping station. The donation limit is $10,000, or $50,000 if you both own the premium game pass. Donations can be disabled in the games settings, if you or the person you’re trying to donate to has donations disabled, you won’t be able to donate.
You can give permissions to your friends by clicking on their avatar and changing their permission, or by navigating to your phone, clicking on “My Plot” and navigating to permissions.
There are a few types of permissions, you can customise what each of them does by opening your phone in-game, clicking on “My Plot”, then permissions and find the settings button.
Make sure you protect your fridge for foods you stored, and be careful with who you give co-owner, as that allows players to build and delete on your plot.
There’s two types of plots: An empty plot and a prebuilt. Alternatively, you can also bulldoze your existing plot.
Empty Plot: Can be purchased by navigating to “My Plot” on your phone in-game and clicking on “My Plots”. You can purchase an empty lot for 300 Blockbux buy clicking on “Buy Plot!”
Prebuilt: A prebuilt is a premade house you can purchase. You can still make changes to those, to make it your own (or delete it if you want something new and start from an empty plot)! Same thing as with the empty plot. You navigate to your phone, go to “My Plot” and click on “Prebuilts”. Make sure you have enough money to purchase the prebuilt you want!
Keep in mind that this will delete your existing house and there’s no way to get it back. You can bulldoze your existing plot by entering build mode (hammer icon on the bottom right when you are on your plot) and clicking on the bulldozer icon. Clicking on options before continuing to bulldoze, allows you to keep certain items such as your car. Continue by typing in your Roblox username (not display name), and bulldozing your plot. You get 70% back on all purchases, and Blockbux items will always return to your inventory.
You can get a private server, or Neighborhood as we call them, by navigating to your phone in-game and opening the Neighborhoods app. Clicking on the icon with the avatar allows you to purchase a Neighborhood and change its settings.
You can join other people’s neighborhoods by going to the phone in-game and opening the neighborhoods app. Clicking on the icon that looks like a card, you’ll be able to type the username of the person you’re trying to join the neighborhood of. Keep in mind that this only works by typing the username and not the display name of your friend.
If your friend has set their neighborhood to private, or it expired, you will get an error message and will not be able to join.
This is usually a Holiday item. We celebrate holidays such as Halloween, Winter, Lunar New Year and Easter. These events come with items, foods and sometimes other collectibles, that are only available during that update or specific time of year.
This depends on the permission level. If you have people with the “Guest” permission stealing your food, navigate to your phone → my plot → permissions → settings. You can turn off the ability to “take food”, “content access”, …
This setting applies to other permissions as well.
Blocking someone can be done by going to your in-game phone, clicking my plot and navigating to permissions. Opening permissions will show a list of players currently in-game. Clicking the permissions button next to their avatar allows you to choose “Blocked”. This creates a block around your house a blocked player can not enter.
Sometimes an error code pops up when trying to join the game. The most common example of this is ‘error 217’.
This is usually due to a poor internet connection or a platform issue, and is not something we can solve on our end.
Usually waiting a little before trying to join again is the best solution for this.
This is a setting. Navigate to your phone in-game, click on the settings icon at the bottom and turn on “Show Interact Tooltip”.

After adding frames to your house from build mode, you can walk up to the pictures and click on them to change what’s displayed. This allows you to pick from a library of decals.
If you want to add your own pictures, you can upload them on Roblox by going to this webpage and uploading your own image. Once it’s gone through moderation, you can click on the image you’ve uploaded and copy the numbers in the URL of that page. These numbers can be pasted into Bloxburg when you click on “change painting” on your decal in-game. This should load the image you’ve uploaded.
Alternatively, you can also look up keywords in the search bar on Roblox, choose creator store → decals and copy the id (numbers in the link) of the image you choose.
This is usually due to a setting.
You can change this by opening your phone in-game, clicking on the settings icon at the bottom, go in to “advanced settings” and scroll down until you get to “see whose assets” and “see whose plots”. Make sure those are set to “everyone” if you are not seeing other peoples houses or decals.
If you want to add clothes from the Roblox marketplace, you can do so by navigating to the item you want on the Roblox homepage, clicking it and copying the numbers in the link. This is the items ID code.
With this code, you can navigate to your phone in-game, click on avatar and navigate to the section of choice (accessories, pants, …).
Next, you want to paste the code by clicking the plus icon and pasting the ID. Clicking purchase and wear will apply your outfit.
You can paint and add material by clicking on the paint palette icon on the bottom of your screen, while in build mode, then you can click the item you want to paint, and it should open the paint and material palette, if the item you’re painting allows for it.
Alternatively, you can use the shortcut “F” while in build mode, on PC, to open the paint tool.
This is usually due to a safety setting on Roblox. If you have parental controls turned on or your account is under the age of 13, you will not be able to type in chat boxes.
If a trophy is able to be sold, it can be repurchased in build mode by navigating to decorate → decorations → trophies.
There are two types of bans: permanent and appealable bans.
As the name suggests, a permanent ban can not be appealed and usually happens when someone uses exploits, cheats, selling currency off-platform or generally breaking Roblox ToS.
An appealable on the other hand can happen when we detect suspicious activity on your account, you built something inappropriate on your plot or something needs a second look.
If your ban is appealable, you can create a ticket in-game.
